De Feure, the son of a Dutch architect and a Belgian mother, is best known today for his Art Nouveau decorative work, including furniture and glassware. He designed rooms for the wealthy Hamburg-born art dealer and patron Siegfried Bing’s pavilion, the “Art Nouveau Bing,” at the Exposition Universelle of 1900 in Paris. [not from ULAN]
